Experience the Magic of the Holidays at Meadow Brook Hall

Meadow Brook Hall’s annual Holiday Walk delivers a breathtaking experience, transporting visitors through the historic mansion decked in shimmering splendor. The self-guided indoor event features incomparable holiday sights and decorations inside Meadow Brook Hall, the historic mansion and National Historic Landmark.   You will experience the wonder of more than 50 magnificent trees, flickering fireplaces, and lights galore! Holiday Walk invites you to explore the 110 room estate from the Grand Ballroom to the lovely Sun Porch for a special romantic afternoon.  Offered November 29th thru December 23rd.

Winter Wonderland Garden Strolls

Take a leisurely stroll through the enchanting gardens, which will be illuminated for the season. These outdoor tours offer a magical perspective of the estate, with beautiful views and seasonal decorations.  Winter Wonder Lights is a self-guided outdoor event featuring unique light displays across the grounds of Meadow Brook Hall.  It’s a special evening of lights, music and magic where visitors can explore the National Historic Landmark at its most festive. There will be seasonal and specialty drinks, selfie stations, bonfires and so much more!  Offered November 29th thru December 30th.

Mysterious Flashlight Experience after Dark

See Meadow Brook Hall in a new light as its hidden details and exquisite craftsmanship are illuminated as never before with their exciting Flashlight Tours.  Your docent will show you behind ropes, under tables and inside cabinets to highlight the secret spaces obscured in the daylight.  From a domed ceiling painted with constellations to the glow of illuminated jade, you’ll enjoy new sights and stories as you explore the dimly lit rooms of Meadow Brook with a Flashlight Tour.  Perfect for October & Winter visitors! Offered every Tuesday night in October.

Experience the Hall Behind the Scenes

The Behind-The-Scenes tour takes visitors on a journey to rarely-seen areas of Meadow Brook Hall, which includes staff wings, bathrooms, closets, playrooms and even our China Vault that features vintage liquor from the Prohibition-era.  You will get exclusive insight into what life was like for the Dodge and Wilson family and those who lived and worked at Meadow Brook Hall.  This offer includes self-guided touring of two of the estate’s playhouses, Knole Cottage and Danny’s Cabin. Offered every weekend in October (except Sunday 10/20).  Please note, some areas of the Behind-the-Scenes tour aren’t wheelchair/handicap accessible.

Guided & Self-Guided Tours

Guided tours of the Mansion with a Meadow Brook docent are offered every Friday thru Tuesday until November 11th, 2024 (except Sunday 10/20).  Many of these tours at Meadow Brook Hall are popular, so be sure to reserve your spot early.
