Savor the uniqueness of our hometown breweries!

Meet the brewers and experience their specialties!

Beer has been bringing people together for centuries, and the traditions and love for this drink embody the desire of Oxford’s beer masters to share their micro-brews with the world. Whether you are a Michigan native or traveling abroad, Stag’s Leap Farm’s guests are welcomed at all Three: GravCap Brewing, Homegrown Brew Co, and the new One Drop Brewing Company; with a VIP greeting using our new exclusive “Oxford VIP Pass” card.

It’s been fun getting to know our local Brew Masters better, and a joy to meet the folks who help bring their brews to you.  From their staff to their family members who share their love for great beer, let us introduce you to the great brewers of Oxford!

GravCap Brewing

Oxford, Oakland County, Stag's Leap Farm PartnerEverything at GravCap Brewing is a true family affair.  Named for Oxford’s history as the “Gravel Capital of the World”, owners Tom & Theresa Wrobel opened in 2019.  Introducing their son and Brew Master, Evan Wrobel to the world, this community minded brewery offers 12 rotating beers on tap.  And that is not all, they also serve Ciders and Seltzers on tap (some gluten free) as well as red, white, and blush wines made on site by their Uncle Tim.  For those of you who like non-alcoholic options, there is no beating their Harry Potter inspired frozen Butter Beer, a drink that is both fun and delicious!

Oxford, Oakland County, Stag's Leap Farm PartnerBeyond the Beer, you will love the atmosphere the Wrobel family has created for you.  In the spirit of European Beer Halls, GravCap is a bring-your-own-food BYOF establishment, with QR Codes on the table for Detroit Style pizza from Sick Pizza delivered right to you from across the street!  Entertainment is solid featuring a 22 foot American standard shuffleboard table, dart board, and the riotous Oxford, Oakland County, Stag's Leap Farm PartnerMusic Bingo every 2nd Friday of the month.  GravCap Brewing also hosts weekly game nights at 7pm, with table team “Family Feud” on Wednesdays and Trivia Night on Thursdays.

We think you will love sitting at the longest bar in Lower Michigan, enjoying some of the best beers in Oxford.  We have to admit they also have some of the best music on Saturday nights, featuring Classic Rock music and recently our own Dawson Rogers, who brought down the house with his love for the piano masters of the 70’s: Elton John & Billy Joel.

Homegrown Brew Co.

Homegrown Brewing, Oxford, Oakland County, Stag's Leap Farm PartnerVoted #1 Brew Pub in Detroit, the love for beer and brewing has been fermenting in the Power’s family for years and across generations.   Master Brewer John picked up home brewing from his oldest son, and brought it to a new level with his wife Marie when they opened Homegrown Brew Co. in 2017.  Their younger son is the artist behind their amazing logo and artwork, and runs many of the operations, save the food.  That is Marie’s sweet spot, and together with her head chef, you have a full dining experience at Homegrown.

Homegrown brewery, Oxford, Oakland County, Stag's Leap Farm PartnerYou can enjoy their many beers on tap in a variety of settings, with their outdoor patio being the hot spot in the summer.  My personal favorite is their new nitro chocolate cherry stout, introduced to their series in February (Happy Birthday to me!).  Upstairs they have a private room, The Tree House, that is beautiful, cozy, and available for rent.  But if it’s just the two of you, Homegrown hosts their legendary beer dinners here once a month.

Homegrown brewery, Oxford, Oakland County, Stag's Leap Farm PartnerAppropriately named,  BREWS+BITES, beer pairing dinners are hosted the 3rd Wednesday and Thursday nights of each month.  They continue to sell out these 5 chef-created courses, each one expertly paired with a HomeGrown beer plus a welcome pint or glass of wine and cheese course.  Don’t fret if you want to come March 20 or 21st, as they keep a wait list…. And April 17 & 18th will be here before you know it.  Whether it’s date night, celebrating a special occasion, or a night out with friends, these dinners fit the bill.

One Drop Brewing Company

One Drop, Oxford, Oakland County, Stag's Leap Farm PartnerLast year we were thrilled when we first heard of One Drop.  When your palate is craving an authentic German taste, you’ll be thrilled too, as Brew Master Ben Schürle takes his brewing seriously. Using 100% German imported Weyermann barley, he brews German and American styles per German Purity Law in their Craftwerk® brewhouse built right here in Lake Orion Michigan.

One Drop Brewing, Oxford, Oakland County, Stag's Leap Farm PartnerYou will find this trendy micro-brewery nestled on the south end of Oxford.   Featuring 4 brews on tap, you will always find a light, amber, hoppy, and dark beer amongst the many variety of recipes they rotate. Non-Alcohol Sodas are also available, including Sprecker Root Beer, a fantastic drink German fire brewed with honey; which I can personally recommend.

Though this brewery is all about the beer, One Drop Brewing Company also offers Pretzels & “Sausage of the Day”.   And yes, they have Mustard and Sauerkraut, which is a must in my personal German opinion ;-).  And once the weather breaks, you will love relaxing with a cold one on their enclosed patio which features an area for corn hole, another Michigan favorite past time.

Curating a unique experience for each of our guests is what we love to do at Stag’s Leap.
