This sanctuary for native plants and animals is the perfect peaceful retreat for visitors. The center sits on nearly 350 acres of woodland, wetlands, ponds and prairie. It includes The Discovery Room, where visitors can explore nature indoors; The Critter Corner, which houses several species native to Michigan including reptiles, amphibians and fish; The Nature Nook, a special place of exploration for very young children with everything sized just for them; the beaver lodge; an observation bee hive; and the Hall of Michigan Birds.
